We are looking to recruit an experienced Chef de Partie - Breakfast on a Full-time, permanent basis. working solo, to the highest standard of production and presentation, for breakfast and Afternoon Tea. We are offering a competitive salary for a 5 days/week shift system including weekends and bank holidays.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of desserts, pastries or other sweet goods. Your skill in baking high quality treats should be matched by your creativity to develop new amazing tastes and recipes.

  • Ensure all food preparation is to the specification outlined by the Head Chef and/or the Lead Chef on the shift

  • Run and supervise any kitchen section to the required standards set by the Head Chef

  • Ensure all preparation of the designated section is complete and ready for each service

  • Execute cooking to the expected high standards quickly and efficiently

  • Support the Head Chef and/or the Lead Chef on the shift in delivering required standards of food

  • Always maintain a positive and proactive attitude and seek to improve and advance your skill set and performance

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef and management

  • The post will require a harmonious, "can-do" approach to working as part of a small and flexible team that covers the entire spectrum of business operational needs between them. Because of the size of business, the challenges may be hard to define in advance, so a solution-orientated attitude is essential. We would prefer candidates who will consider this an enjoyable part of the job.

  • Additional work, not related to the kitchen, may be asked of this individual, from time to time. This will only happen when the kitchen is quiet, but a responsible attitude and willingness to step up in times of difficulty will be always expected.

  • Hours are likely to include early mornings, some afternoons and early to mid-evenings. As per the industry norm, weekends and bank holidays are included in the working requirement.

  • References confirming high work quality and a great attitude are required.

Requirements:

  • Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards

  • Minimum 1-year relevant experience

  • Awareness of manual handling techniques

  • Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety

Hygiene:

  • Comply with all Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Allergen and COSHH requirements for the kitchen

  • Complete HACCP recording in line with requests from the lead Chef on the shift and/or the Head Chef
